Sand pits are an important play feature and probably the most common site in pre-schools and kindergartens. They also play an important part in a child's everyday play routine. However, gone are the days that traditional timber surrounds are acceptable as an edge to the sandpit. As children ourselves (not too long ago you say) we remember tractor tyres full of sand or just a plain hole, however these days things are a little more structured and sandpits are expected to keep up with the times. Reclaim has been manufacturing and supplying safety edging across Australia for many years and have two models to meet any edge requirements. Our MEO1 Edging is an excellent retaining edge and more suited to sandier areas where retaining needs to start below ground level. In areas where the ground is harder and not so sandy our EdgeSafe product is more ideal and can be easily spiked into the ground. Firm yet flexible rubber edging provides a long term hard wearing alternative to the older more traditional methods of building a sandpit.
